1 year Design & Technology Curriculum Program: Ellis’s Worldventures D&T (secondary age – for 11-13yr olds, UK Years 7/8 – KS3)
Ellis’s Worldventures delivers the UK National Curriculum in a delightfully unique and interactive way.
Our inquisitive character ‘Ellis’ takes learners on an incredible journey, exploring key curriculum topics along the way. Each update from Ellis is written in first person to the reader and each update tells part of the life of Ellis and how, in the course of life, the need for specific knowledge arises. An unconventional ‘course’ where you can step into Ellis’s life of wonder and exploration. These courses are designed to teach key curriculum ideas by building in foundation concepts without repetition and traditional ‘practice questions’.

The curriculum elements cover a range of domestic and local contexts [for example, the home, health, leisure and culture], and industrial contexts [for example, engineering, manufacturing, construction, food, energy, agriculture (including horticulture) and fashion]. Some of the topics included are materials science, design icons, specifications, the 6 R’s, and more!
Structure:
- Worldventures runs over 50 weeks/lessons
- Each week has an “update” which includes:
- a new story document from Ellis
- 5 engaging and interactive activities
- additional supporting resources
- (all of the above are based around the core elements of the UK National Curriculum, for this age group)
- most young people do 1 lesson per week, but they can always do them faster if they wish!
• New enrolments start at any time
• 50 weeks/lessons available for only £75
