HISTORY & POLITICS IN LITERATURE – 13+ (6-SESSIONS) £60
Explore the connection between History, Politics & Literature. For centuries, writers have made use of Literature as a vehicle to critique the Politics and Politicians of their times. From the social critique of Dickens to the Socialism of post-war Drama to the race relations of Gorman’s poetry today. A fascinating course that delves into the political lessons of literature throughout history and the political impact writers have hoped their literature would have on their contemporary audiences.

Each short course includes: weekly online, video tutorials; a wide range of opportunities to be inspired and be creative (projects, quizzes and activities with personal feedback); weekly learning documents plus extra support materials and resources; direct access to a passionate, knowledgeable tutor; easy access via the online Canvas learning platform (and Zoom).

Our courses for 13+ year olds are available to enrol in year-round, with both an “Online, Live” format as well as an “Online,Flexible Timing/Recorded” format, subject to availability.
