Course summary: Explore gothic conventions and their contributions to the modern horror genre. Learn to identify Gothic elements in film, literature, art and architecture. Explore the popularity of the Gothic in literature as a medium to challenge societal beliefs and expectations. Practice using Gothic conventions to produce your own piece of Gothic literature. Also available as part of a ‘full year’ Upper KS3 English Literature curriculum bundle of short courses.
Who This Course is For: Young people aged 13yrs+
What this Course Includes: Each small-group short course includes: weekly video tutorials (avail. 24/7); support learning materials / documents / resources; weekly activities (such as projects, quizzes, assignments with personal feedback, etc. ); direct access to a passionate, knowledgeable tutor; easy access via the online “Canvas” learning platform (and Zoom).
