‘Introduction to Electricity’ – 6-SESSIONS, £45

Electricity is all around us, we are dependent on it for so much of our lives but do we really understand it? This course will go back to the basics looking at what electricity is and covering topics such as static electricity, circuits, why some things conduct electricity and some things don’t and the beginnings of understanding about quantifying electrical charge. It’s worth having a stash of balloons on hand for this course!
An excellent precursor to students hoping to do a physics IGCSE, as well as an excellent stand-alone course (and this course is also included in the 1yr Upper KS3 Combined Physics Curriculum program – details are here ).

Each short course includes: weekly online, video tutorials; a wide range of opportunities to be inspired and be creative (projects and activities with personal feedback); weekly learning documents plus extra support materials and resources; direct access to a passionate, knowledgeable tutor; easy access via the online Canvas learning platform (and Zoom)

Our courses for 11+ year olds are available to enrol in year-round, with both an “Online, Live” format as well as an “Online,Flexible Timing/Recorded” format, subject to availability.
