‘Introduction to Electricity’ (6 sessions – £45) An online, tutor-led small group short course for home educated / homeschooling students

Course Summary: Electricity is all around us, we are dependent on it for so much of our lives but do we really understand it? This course will go back to the basics looking at what electricity is and covering topics such as static electricity, circuits, why some things conduct electricity and some things don’t and the beginnings of understanding about quantifying electrical charge. It’s worth having a stash of balloons on hand for this course!
An excellent precursor to students hoping to do a physics IGCSE, as well as an excellent stand-alone course (and this course is also included in the 1yr Upper KS3 Combined Physics Curriculum program).

Who This Course is For: Young people aged 12+ yrs

What this Course Includes: Each small-group short course includes: weekly video tutorials (avail. 24/7); support learning materials / documents / resources; weekly activities (such as projects, quizzes, assignments with personal feedback, etc. ); direct access to a passionate, knowledgeable tutor; easy access via the online “Canvas” learning platform (and Zoom).
