Getting Started in Chemistry (6 sessions – £45) An online, tutor-led small group short course for home educated / homeschooling students

Course Summary: In this course we will develop a strong foundation in the key concepts of chemistry, we will learn how to use the periodic table, what atoms are made up of and what exactly is the difference between something being a solid, liquid or a gas. Understanding these fundamental concepts is essential for further studies in chemistry. (This course is a prerequisite for the other Chemistry short courses, unless the learner is already confident in core chemistry concepts). An excellent precursor to students hoping to do a chemistry IGCSE, as well as a superb stand-alone course (and this course is also included in the 1yr Upper KS3 Combined Chemistry Curriculum program ).

What this Course Includes: Each small-group short course includes: weekly video tutorials (avail. 24/7); support learning materials / documents / resources; weekly activities (such as projects, quizzes, assignments with personal feedback, etc. ); direct access to a passionate, knowledgeable tutor; easy access via the online “Canvas” learning platform (and Zoom).
