Fundamentals of Chemistry (6 sessions – £45) An online, tutor-led small group short course for home educated / homeschooling students

Course Summary: A solid foundation for any future studies in chemistry, we explore what an atom is, their structure and how it differs between elements, the periodic table and how it is arranged and what we can learn about different elements from it. We then build up to how atoms join together to form compounds, why some elements are more reactive than others and learn how to write and balance chemical equations. Ideal for more academically confident students or for those who have studied chemistry before but would benefit from a refresher (other learners are advised to select the ‘Getting Started in Chemistry’ course which has a more gentle pace). An excellent stand-alone course & PRE-IGCSE course.
