Fashion Fundamentals … 6 weeks (£45)
In this dynamic course, we will look at a range of fashion topics that will give learners a foundation understanding of fashion essentials.
We will explore fashion design principles, the fashion design process, how fashion has developed over time (from accessories to garments to millinery), how fashion relates to culture and politics, haute couture vs pret a porter vs costume design. Learners will be inspired by some iconic designs of the past.
Sustainability in the fashion industry will also be a key topic when we look at materials and production.
Young people will also be encouraged and given resources & ideas to create work of their own!

Our courses for 11+ year olds are available to enrol in year-round, with both an “Online, Live” format as well as an “Online,Flexible Timing/Recorded” format, subject to availability.
