Art & Design Fundamentals  …  6 weeks (£45)

In this dynamic course, we will explore issues such as biomimicry, materials, the design process, pigments and dyes, and much more. This will be done via looking at a range of different fields in Art & Design such as product design, sculpture, fine art, costume design and furniture design. We will look at a range of materials, from glass to clay to leather – learning about their key properties and iconic design pieces.
Key design principles and the design process, which covers everything from idea generation to final production will be explored, with Sustainability being a key theme.
Young people will also be encouraged and given resources & ideas to create ideas of their own!

Our courses for 11+ year olds are available to enrol in year-round, with both an “Online, Live” format as well as an “Online,Flexible Timing/Recorded” format, subject to availability.
