What’s the Deal with Acids and Bases – SACI (6 SESSIONS) £45

Everyone knows that mixing vinegar and Bicarbonate of soda makes a great volcano but do you really understand what is going on? What exactly is an acid anyway?

This course is going to give you a greater understanding of the properties of acids and chemical reactions associated with both them and bases, we will dip into our knowledge of ionic bonding as we explore what salts are and why they are anything to do with acids as well as why we see so many bubbles in these reactions. You will need a foundational understanding of Chemistry to complete this course.

An excellent precursor to students hoping to do a chemistry IGCSE, as well as a superb stand-alone course (and this course is also included in the 1yr Upper KS3 Combined Chemistry Curriculum program – details are here ).
