Disasters & Dilemmas (6 sessions – £45) An online, tutor-led small group short course for home educated / homeschooling students

Course Summary: Volcanoes, hurricanes and earthquakes … need we say more?  We will … this course explores where on earth natural hazards happen, why and how they happen, and how we can prepare ourselves. We answer questions like: “what’s the difference between a hurricane, typhoon and cyclone?” and “how is a pot boiling on the stove similar to the interior of planet Earth?”. A great stand-alone course and also a great IGCSE/GCSE taster for  Geography and Environmental Management.

Who This Course is For: Young people aged 11yrs – 15yrs

What this Course Includes: Each small-group short course includes: weekly video tutorials (avail. 24/7); support learning materials / documents / resources; weekly activities (such as projects, quizzes, assignments with personal feedback, etc. ); direct access to a passionate, knowledgeable tutor; easy access via the online “Canvas” learning platform (and Zoom).
