1 YEAR KS3 SCIENCE* CURRICULUM PROGRAM (*covers some of the most fascinating core topics of 3 different Science curriculums (not all of them – there’s just not the time 🙁 !) / prepares for UK IGCSE Double Science) AGES 12-14YRS (YEAR 8/9 (UK))

HomeMadeEducation offers a 1 year Science* curriculum program for young people aged 12-14 (suits UK Year 8 or UK Year 9).

This program covers some of the most compelling core curriculum topics for the three different sciences (Biology, Physics and Chemistry) and runs for a full year.

And extremely useful for building the foundation to prepare for KS4/IGCSE Double Science Award – The Double Award involves studying all three ‘core sciences’, and upon successful completion of three externally assessed exams, learners are awarded 2 IGCSEs (both at the same grade).

Starting at any time, the program includes 6 six-week courses, as follows:

i) Cells: The Building Blocks of Life
ii) The Incredible World of Plants (live option)
iii) Introduction to Chemistry
iv) Acids and Bases (live option)
v) Introduction to Electricity (live option)
vi) Introduction to forces (live option)

Details

  • Available to start at any time
  • Covers a full 36 weeks of learning materials, for a full ‘academic year’
  • Total combined fee for the program is £200 (which can be paid in two instalments, Month 1 and Month 2), a savings of £70

These courses use the ‘flexible/recorded’ format (the ‘live’ format is optional also, if available during the year of enrolment)
All formats use the Canvas online learning platform (free to use, no downloads or payments required)
